OBJECTIVE
The fashion industry is one of the largest industries contributing 2% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Sustainable development of the industry requires comprehensive risk management throughout the supply chain from design and manufacture to consumption patterns. Supply chain transparency supply chain is a major factor in the identification of potential risks or adverse impacts on the environment and social responsibility.
In this webinar, SGS will co-host with REDRESS, a local Hong Kong environmental NGO, to share the latest sustainability trends and concerns for the fashion industry with stakeholders.

PRESENTERS
Dr ChungYuen Tam is the Senior Technical Services Manager at SGS in Hong Kong and is responsible for supply chain audit business development in Hong Kong and also the global scheme manager for RBA (formerly EICC) audits in SGS. He has more than 15 years quality and environmental management experience. Before joining SGS in 2007, he was an Environmental Engineer and Project Manager overseeing environmental protection projects and various management systems. ChungYuen is an active auditor executing RBA, VAP and Conflict Free Smelter audits, he is also an IRCA certified EMS lead auditor.
Kay Liu is Education Director of Redress. She is responsible for spreading Redress’ educational message to fashion design institutions and the industry through public education speaking events. A Masters graduate in Ethical Fashion from the University of the Creative Arts in the UK, Kay has spent over 10 years in different sectors of the supply chain. Sustainability runs deep in her blood and Kay was also an advisor for a social enterprise in Nepal for three years.
