Course Overview

Retailing footwear in to the China market has become a key strategy for many brands and retailers looking to expand their global presence. With an expanding and increasingly affluent consumer base, China is forecast to become the world’s largest branded retail market.

In contrast to the majority of other countries, there are legal minimum requirements not just for chemical conformance but also for physical performance of products retailed in China. It is mandatory to demonstrate that all products have compliant test reports that meet the product specific requirements in order to import and retail. It is imperative to understand what these specifications are and how even high performing products can fail unless they are designed with GB standards in mind.

This course is designed to take the attendees through the complex GB regulations and standards and to detail product requirements and the major causes of non-compliance for different footwear product types.
