Background

Agents play an essential role in the movement and trade of products – providing a critical link in their chain of custody and can influence product safety and quality standards at their suppliers, and are responsible for maintaining an effective chain of traceability. The BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers will enable companies to be audited and certificated to demonstrate their controls over this critical part of the supply chain.

Presenter:

Jeremy Chamberlain – Global BRC Product Manager

Jeremy is responsible for BRC certificates delivered by SGS globally, ensuring the consistency and quality of certification. Jeremy contributed to the writing of the Agents & Brokers Standard, as well as BRC Food and the shortly to be published Storage & Distribution schemes. Jeremy is also a Lead Auditor and trainer for BRC Food, Packaging, Storage & Distribution and Agents & Brokers. Prior to joining SGS, Jeremy gained experience in senior roles in international and independent food manufacturers.
