Course Overview

Textile fibre content labelling is a requirement in most countries around the world and the European Union is no exception. Most textile products require an indication of fibre content and there are rules governing how this should be done.

This course will address your interest in the legal aspects of labelling as well as the practical interpretation of those regulations. The course will clarify what needs to be labelled and what does not and it will demonstrate how the detail of the regulations impacts on specific products with multiple components and those that are part textile and part something else. We will also give some pointers to where you might go for more information and keep abreast of changes in legislation.

Delegates are encouraged to bring along their own samples for open discussion.

This course is especially suited to designers, buyers and textile technologists.
