SGS to Provide Product Conformity Assessment Services to The Central African Republic and South Sudan
SGS Product Conformity Assessment (PCA) is a solution designed to ensure that specific products meet the requirements of the technical regulations and standards set by a regulatory authority in the importing country.
Effective May 1, 2021, SGS is providing Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVOC) services for consignments shipped into South Sudan, in accordance with a contract between SGS and the South Sudan Ministry of Trade and Industry, through the South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS).
On November 11, 2020, SGS signed a contract with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) of the Central African Republic (CAR) on the implementation of the Pre-Verification of Conformity of Imported Goods to CAR, starting March 2021.
We are currently already processing certificate of conformities (COCs) for Uganda but we are also required to provide sensitisation/awareness program to our customers.
