Utilizing its global network and considerable industry expertise, SGS's comprehensive Recover, Renew, Reinforce initiative offers services specifically designed for business involved in a wide range of industries.

Preparing for the new normal, SGS has developed tailored services including:

Business Restart Assessment

Based on management systems controls, this assessment ensures that an organization is following the recommended guidelines, has introduced the required processes and procedures, and has effectively implemented them throughout the business.

Manufacturing Business Continuity Module

Specifically developed for the manufacturing sector, this module offers a comprehensive service that checks the physical controls and documented arrangements of a business and its readiness to restart operations following the COVID-19 pandemic. Combining a unique solution of swab testing, inspections and management systems, this module provides an end-to-end service to maximize efficiency and minimize future disruptions.

Monitoring of Disinfection and Verification of Cleaning

A service developed to provide a desktop gap analysis of sites' cleaning and disinfection protocols. It is designed to ensure completeness and compliance with international and local guidance, on-site verification of cleaning and disinfection procedures, and consistent and correct implementation of the related protocols. On-site verification testing, by means of fluorescent marking, prior to and post cleaning, assesses the effectiveness of cleaning procedures. The collection of surface swab samples from specific high touch points, followed by analysis, by means of second-generation ATP, confirms the presence of biological material as an indication of the effectiveness of surface cleaning and disinfection.

COVID-19 Solutions for the Food Industry

With the unique challenges and needs of food businesses of all types in mind, including food service, restaurants, catering and food manufacturing as well as retail, SGS has developed a range of solutions to help the industry navigate successfully through this unprecedented crisis. These services are supported by the company's wide international food auditor and inspector footprint, integrated network of laboratories and technical experts:

  • SARS-CoV-2 Testing for environmental surfaces auditing
  • SGS COVID-19 Control Program available as standalone or as part of more comprehensive packages such as:
    • Hygiene Monitored Program
    • HACCP for Catering
    • Factory Restart Programs
