Businesses need to keep one step ahead of their rivals and dedicated training services, audits and certification can help. The SGS Academy is now offering training to help companies prepare for changes to management systems standards and gear up for the introduction of brand new business continuity courses.

This year the formal revised versions of both the quality management systems standard (ISO 9001) and the environmental management systems standard (ISO 14001) are due for release and the SGS Academy offers a range of different training solutions to help companies with their transition. These new courses are available throughout the country – with sessions offered in Belfast, Glasgow and Newcastle.

Daniel Curling, Manager at the SGS Academy said, “Over the past year we have been providing training sessions to help businesses understand changes based on the various DIS/FDIS and these courses are constantly updated to coincide with changes to the standards. The idea is to guide companies through the transition process, to make it as smooth as possible.

Earlier this year, SGS was approved by the Business Continuity Institute – the world’s leading institute for business continuity – to deliver licensed business continuity training. The SGS Academy has launched seven new business continuity training courses to help companies take control of their business and remain resilient in the case of a crisis. These one to five day sessions will help both newcomers and existing business continuity professionals develop, implement and maintain an effective programme to manage incidents.

At SGS we have the expert knowledge and qualified experience in training – whether a client, or a member of the public coming in for a training session – we can help everyone. Our training suite at our Oldbury office offers a range of seminars, training days, audits and certification and we can tailor these services specifically to what the company needs,” said Mr Curling.
