Course Overview

The Nightwear (Safety) Regulations in their current form have been in place in the UK since 1986. They took over from the earlier Nightdress Regulations. The course is intended to give the delegates a general understanding of the regulations and what is expected of adult’s and children’s nightwear in respect of flammability.

The course will also cover the impact of the European Standard for Children’s nightwear: EN 14878.

The course will look at what is expected of the fabrics, sewing threads, and embroidery threads and trims used as well as when and how to consider EN 14878. It will look at what is exempt from the regulations and what is not.

We encourage delegates to bring samples along for discussion during the day; this always introduces a level of spontaneity and makes the seminar much more interesting.

The seminar is especially suited to designers, buyers and technologists.
