SGS Baseefa Limited Transfers to SGS United Kingdom Limited

On April 1, 2023, SGS Baseefa Limited will be integrated into SGS United Kingdom Limited as part of our continuous improvement and organizational simplification efforts.

Consequently, our accreditation will be updated to reflect this name change. Going forward, all new certifications that were previously issued by SGS Baseefa Limited will now be issued by SGS United Kingdom Limited.

This change will not affect the quality and service level, test location or SGS contact person(s) for our customers.

No immediate action is required from our customers. For customers who have previously received SGS Baseefa certificates, SGS has developed a staged plan to re-issue certifications as follows:

For SGS Baseefa IECEx Certificates of Conformity, ExTR’s, QARs, IECEx CoPC and mark licenses

All SGS Baseefa certificates, reports and licenses will be moved under the new ExCB (SGS United Kingdom Limited – with a new “SGS” identifier) and will become live on www.iecex.com. All valid SGS Baseefa certificates, reports and licenses will remain valid, and future updates will retain the SGS Baseefa (BAS) certificate number format. All new IECEx certificates, reports and licenses will incorporate a new “SGS” number format.

For UKCA certificates

All UKCA certificates will be issued under SGS United Kingdom Limited and will retain the SGS format.
